Enspiriting (or numinisation) is an animistic ritual process whereby a spirit or numina is invited (“called down”) or invoked to inhabit a biophysical entity (mountain, forest, tree, idol, temple, person, animal or stone) which subsequently becomes enspirited providing the spirit is honoured and appeased and invited to remain in residence on a regular basis.

कविं कवीनामुपमश्रवस्तमम् ।
