“Going North”

During 1986 I began to become interested in the Tibetan peoples and thought it might be time to move on. I thought I had  better check out my guidance and decided to visit SW China before returning on furlough. As an independent traveller it was easiest to go by way of Hong Kong and China.

Upon my return to Nepal I believed that there was still more for me in Jumla, but the Tibetan world was on the agenda in the future
